Go Tankless or Go Home

Tankless Water Heater

Say goodbye to quick, military-style showers, refilling your tank, and waiting for the hot water to recover. This revolutionary design replaces your outdated tank heater and gives you the luxury of taking back-to-back showers, washing dishes, and running a load of laundry all at once. Unlike traditional tank heaters that require constant energy to keep your water hot, this tankless, propane-fueled water heater only uses energy when you turn on your faucet or shower, providing the ultimate efficiency at a campground or off-the-grid. The endless, on-demand hot water has no recovery time and is perfect if you're on the road full-time or traveling with a large group. Small, medium, and large access doors available separately (FR43FR, FR63FR, and FR73FR).

Relaxing Showers without Scalding or Freezing

Vortex Pic

Has your warm and relaxing shower ever been interrupted by a cruel burst of ice-cold water? Perhaps you've been the victim of a scorching surge of hot water that scalds you and sends you dancing out of harm's way. Either way, it's the worst, but those days are over. Furrion's vortex technology is designed to eliminate those dreaded hot and cold water fluctuations by consistently mixing hot and cold water together to reach your desired temperature, ensuring those warm, comfortable showers.

Safety First

This state-of-the-art technology is equipped with built-in safety measures to ensure you, your family, and your RV stay out of harm's way.

Its dual temperature sensors automatically shut off power if the water temperature exceeds 149 F, preventing the unit from overheating while also reducing the risk of hot water scalding. The unit also has a flame monitoring feature that cuts off the gas supply if the flame goes out to prevent gas from leaking inside your RV and a built-in safety valve that allows pressure to vent at 87 psi to prevent excess pressure and heat build-up.

Anti-Freeze Control Board

This tankless water heater features a control board to keep itself warm when temperatures drop. Freezing water can damage the unit, so an internal thermostat monitors water temperature and will turn the heat on automatically when it gets too cold. This feature will only work if the water heater is receiving power and gas. You will need to remember to winterize the water heater before storage over the winter.

  • Recommended Tankless Replacement For An Atwood GC6AA-10E RV Water Heater
Hi Wes, All newer water heater models are transitioning to smaller sizes as the technology gets better so you'll likely have a gap regardless of which unit you choose to go with. There's typically framing around the water heater so you'll just need to add in some 2" x 2" boards to fill in the gap and give the mounting flange of the new unit something to grab onto when mounting. I've attached a video below where Jake had to do this in order to install the # FR93FR. These units come with...

  • Replacement Standard tank Water Heater For an Atwood 6G Water Hearter
We only have one water heater that is not tank-less. That is the Dometic RV Water Heater # DMC74FR. The # DMC74FR water heater has cut-out dimensions of 12-3/4" tall x 12-3/4" wide x 19-7/8" deep. The door is available as # DMC58FR. The RV industry is moving towards tankless water heaters, they are a lot more efficient and standard (tank) water heaters are getting harder to find and find replacement parts for. A tankless option like the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR produces...

  • Replacing Atwood GC10A-3E Water Heater with Tankless
I am a big fan of tankless water heaters, especially for campers that used for boondocking, off-grid or whichever term you choose. Connected or not connected to shore power, this is a great option. I like the on demand feature that provides as much or as little hot water as you need, as long as you have propane, without wasting fuel to keep water warm when it is not being used. I suggest the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater, # FR98SR for this application. This has measurements of 12-5/8"...

  • Replacement For A Furrion FWHO9A-AM Tankless RV Water Heater
Furrion/Lippert love to change the part numbers constantly on their products so it can be a bit tricky to find exactly what you're looking for if you don't know the right places to look. The FWHO9A-AM refers to the unit without the door, which would be part # FR93FR for our website. If you need the door as well then we have the following sizes: 16" x 16" Door # FR98SR 16" x 18" Door # FR48SR 18" x 18" Door # FR68SR If you plan on completing the installation yourself you'll also need...

The # FR93FR, FWH09A-AM, FWH09A-1-A are all the same Furrion Tankless Water Heater. since you're wanting to reuse the door and wall controller you'll want the # FR93FR to save yourself the money on the door. It will however still come with the wall controller so I recommend hanging on to it incase you ever need to replace your current one.

  • What Is The Ball Looking Thing On The Back Of The Furrion FR93FR Water Heater?
Hello Judi, thanks for reaching out. When you say "ball looking thing" are you referring to the part circled in the picture below? If so, this is the vortex mixing chamber. This is where hot and cold water mix to give you the right temperature of water. It is a necessary part of the water heater, so I am really not sure where your "tech" got that idea from. Sadly though, the vortex chamber is not a part we sell separately. If your water heater is no longer under warranty (2 years) it will...

Both wires will be blue and polarity doesn't matter you just need to identify if you are getting 12 volts of power to the controller and have a good ground. • Troubleshooting A Furrion Tankless Water Heater That Keeps Blowing Fuses
The Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR would blow the fuse repeatedly if the control board was malfunctioning or if there was a short in the wiring. I recommend checking the all wiring connections first to make sure everything is secure and that there's no damage to the wiring. • Why Is Water Leaking From The Drain Tube Of A Furrion Tankless Water Heater
If you have water continuously leaking from the drain tube of your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR then it would either indicate that the water pressure is too high and the pressure relief valve is doing its job or that the pressure relief valve is faulty and would need replacement. You can adjust the pressure by using a regulator like part # A01-1124VP. • Does Furrion Tankless Water Heater Connect to 12V or 120V Power
Hey Richard, it's great to hear from you again! The Furrion tankless water heaters, like part # FR93FR, run off of 12V power and the propane system on your motorhome. For something that runs off of 120V power you'll need the 10 Gallon GE system that comes in Black # GE24RR as well as White # GE97RR. This means you'll still be using a tank, but it matches up to the connections you've used so it will be a simpler install in those regards. Does this sound like a good alternative, or are...

It's definitely that your Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR93FR won't light even though you've already checked the gas pressure. Is the wall thermostat giving you any error codes?
